"When the artist is alive in any person, whatever his kind of work may be, he becomes an inventive, searching, daring, self-expressive creature. He becomes interesting to other people. He disturbs, upsets, enlightens and opens ways for better understanding." - Roabert Henri (1865 – 1929), American painter & teacher.

Less formal education is provided in several different areas with a view to promoting a wide range of interests. Pupils display their musical and dramatic talents in a series of cultural evenings.

Full scale musical productions are staged regularly, and interhouse play festivals take place twice a year. Inter-house and inter-school quizzes are often held. For pupils who excel in these areas of school life colours and half-colours are awarded.
