As has become tradition, the matrics took off their school shoes upon finishing their exam and left them behind on their examination desks.
As we watched the matriculants leave the school in high spirits – either barefoot, in flip flops, or wearing only their socks – our hearts swelled.

As Unionโs maths teachers constantly encourage the fun element in maths and like to challenge learners to stretch themselves and step out of their comfort zones, the learners were, once again, encouraged to participate in this yearโs ๐๐ค๐ช๐ฉ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ง๐๐๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฉ๐๐๐จ ๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐๐ (๐๐ผ๐๐), an annual Olympiad organised by the South African Mathematics Foundation (SAMF).
