It was with great anticipation and excitement that Union’s 1st team hockey girls travelled up to Bloemfontein this weekend for a set of hockey matches against some fierce opposition.

The team then took on Oranje Meisieskool’s 2nds early this morning. In what was a very entertaining match to watch, OMS managed to clinch a 4 – 2 win against Union.
Shortly afterwards, the girls went toe-to-toe against the Free State’s u/16A side. Although they were tuckered out from their encounter against Oranje, they still produced beautiful play, but suffered a 0 – 5 defeat in the end.
