The Union High School, Graaff-Reinet đ¨đđŻđ đđĽđđđđđ§ team enjoyed a great start to their season on Friday, 1 September, by securing a convincing T20 victory against Sonop Laerskool.
Losing the toss, Union was put in to bat and managed to score 130 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. đđđ đ¨đŠđđŁđđ¤đŞđŠ đĽđđ§đđ¤đ§đ˘đđ§ đŹđđ¨ đđŹđđŁ đđđđŠđ¤đŁ, đŹđđ¤ đĽđĄđđŽđđ đđ§đđĄđĄđđđŁđŠđĄđŽ đđŁđ đ¨đđ¤đ§đđ đđŁ đđ˘đĽđ§đđ¨đ¨đđŤđ 67 đ§đŞđŁđ¨ đ¤đđ 60 đđđĄđĄđ¨. Paxton’s outstanding partnership with Joubert Vorster, which contributed 86 runs for the 5th wicket, was a key factor in Union’s success.

On Saturday, 2 September, Union faced Sonop once again in a 40-over match. Sonop stepped in to bat first, with Union’s bowlers restricting them to a mere 103 runs all out, thanks to a stellar bowling performance led by Owen Paxton with 4 wickets and the contribution of 2 wickets by Aidan Ferreira.
