Aside from providing an education, schools have a responsibility to keep learners, staff and visitors safe. At Union High School, Graaff-Reinet, we take this responsibility with the utmost seriousness and are dedicated to creating a protective environment for all.
In line with this commitment, 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱-𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩) 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘀 in all our junior school classrooms and the quad area. This initiative represents a crucial step in our ongoing efforts to enhance the safety and security of our campus.
The cameras have been meticulously positioned to cover key areas such as entrances, hallways and classrooms, ensuring thorough surveillance of vital spots within the school. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵, 𝘧𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵.
