This past weekend saw Union High School, Graaff-Reinet’s senior tennis players, ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ฒ, ๐ฃ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ-๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐ฒ๐น ๐๐น๐ฒ๐ด๐ด, ๐ง๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ, ๐ฅ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐, ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ต๐ฎ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐น๐ฒ๐, ๐ ๐ถ๐๐ต๐ฎ ๐ก๐ฒ๐๐๐ผ๐ป, ๐๐ฎ๐๐น๐ฎ ๐ก๐ฒ๐๐๐ผ๐ป, ๐ก๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ and ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฎ, participating in the annual Marco Wasserman tennis tournament, contested in Middelburg.
Over the course of the two days, the players competed in a Round Robin doubles and mixed doubles format in the competitionโs A-League.
Despite facing tough competition and very windy conditions, the Union learners performed exceptionally well, ๐ช๐ก๐ฉ๐๐ข๐๐ฉ๐๐ก๐ฎ ๐๐ค๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ฃ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ง๐, ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐๐จ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฝ๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐ฌ๐๐.
They left the tournament having gained valuable insights from the experience.
