While most of us are enjoying a restful Saturday, Union High School, Graaff-Reinet’s Grade 10s set off to test their minds, strength and endurance on their annual 5-day ๐—ข๐——๐—ฌ๐—ฆ๐—ฆ๐—˜๐—ฌ ๐—”๐——๐—ฉ๐—˜๐—ก๐—ง๐—จ๐—ฅ๐—˜.

So far, our Grade 10s have been learning the nuances of cooking in the great outdoors! Each meal prepared during their 5-day ๐—ข๐——๐—ฌ๐—ฆ๐—ฆ๐—˜๐—ฌ, however, is not just about nourishment, it’s about teamwork and creativity. Union High School, Graaff-Reinet’s junior cricketers took the field today against their Laer Volkskool counterparts.

The ๐˜‚/๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ๐—” Volkskool side, having won the toss, chose to bat first but struggled against Union’s bowling attack.

Union’s captain, Edwin Holmes, led from the front with an exceptional performance, taking 5 wickets for a mere 3 runs in his 4 overs. His efforts were complemented by Kevin de Klerk, who secured 2 wickets for 6 runs.

When it was Union’s turn to bat, their openers made quick work of the target.
