Endurance Riding – Congratulations, Tristan

We are excited to share that Union High School, Graaff-Reinet’s young equestrian ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—›๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ recently participated in the ๐—–๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐—ผ ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ธ๐˜€ ๐—˜๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—ฅ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ in Graaff-Reinet.

This event took place over the weekend of 17 and 18 October, where Tristan not only demonstrated his passion for riding but also marked significant milestones in his equestrian journey.

On Friday, October 17, Tristan participated in an 80km Trapleer ride on his horse, SMP Bella May. The following day, Tristan took on an even greater challenge. Revamped Life Sciences Lab

We are thrilled to share the wonderful news that we have recently had the privilege of revamping the ๐—Ÿ๐—œ๐—™๐—˜ ๐—ฆ๐—–๐—œ๐—˜๐—ก๐—–๐—˜๐—ฆ lab at Union High School, Graaff-Reinet.

This project has not only transformed the space but also reinvigorated the learning environment for learners who will walk through its doors each day.

The journey began with the complete gutting of the age-old classroom. We carefully sanded and varnished the floors, breathing new life into the room’s foundation. The outdated box blinds were replaced with modern window coverings, flooding the lab with natural light.

New front-of-classroom cupboards were installed, which function as a traditional whiteboard, while housing the digital interactive whiteboard – an essential tool for dynamic teaching and interactive learning.

On Saturday, 19 October, the Newton Park Swimming Pool in Gqeberha became a hub of excitement as it hosted the highly anticipated B Age Schools Gala.

This year, the event drew participation from 31 Eastern Cape schools, spanning from the Inland areas to East London, and featured an impressive total of 1 001 entries.
