Towards the end of 2024, Union High School chess player ๐ก๐ฒ๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ was selected by the Department of Education to represent the Eastern Cape u/18 team at a tournament from 16 to 20 December in Polokwane – an event that served as national trials.

Neelon has previously attended the South African Union Chess Championships twice in Johannesburg.
Through hard work and dedication he has improved his chess skills, to a level that is enabling him to compete with confidence against his opponents.
