Union High School, Graaff-Reinet is thrilled to announce an exciting event featuring the iconic South African cricketing legend Gary Kirsten on Tuesday, 4 March!

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦-𝘪𝘯-𝘢-𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵’𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴, 𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘺.

The day will be packed with a variety of engaging events designed for aspiring cricketers, coaches and sports enthusiasts alike.

Local coaches can look forward to a comprehensive 𝗖𝗢𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦’ 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣 where Gary will share his unique insights and strategies for developing talent on and off the field. This is an unmissable chance for coaches to enhance their skills and knowledge, benefiting local cricketing communities.

Following the workshop, Gary will participate in an 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗤&𝗔 session with Union boys, allowing them to engage directly with a true cricketing icon. This dialogue will focus on the challenges and triumphs of pursuing excellence in sports, providing invaluable advice for young players navigating their cricketing journeys.

𝗧𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗽 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. The evening’s dialogue will be themed ‘Parenting in Sport’, and will centre around how families can support young athletes as they pursue their passions.
