Indurance Riding

This past weekend saw Union High School learner 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 participating in the Graaff-Reinet Camdeboo SANParks Endurance ride.

On Friday, 21 March, he took on the challenging 𝟭𝟮𝟬𝗸𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 aboard SMP Bella May, marking her first attempt at this distance. 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘧 7 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 44 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘴, 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩.

The following day, he continued to excel, riding Henarstep Willow for an 𝟴𝟬𝗸𝗺 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗸, where he not only finished in a stellar time of 4 hours and 30 minutes but also earned the title of first junior rider and placed 4th overall.
