This past Saturday, 1 October, Unionโs u/16 girlsโ tennis team, consisting of ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฎ, ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฎ๐ต-๐๐ฒ๐ถ๐ด๐ต ๐๐ผ๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ด, ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ ๐ก๐ฒ๐ถ๐น๐น and ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฑรฉ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ participated in the Eastern Cape Provincial Finals of the Tennis South Africa, BNP Paribas Rising Star Tennis Tournament, hosted by Kingswood College.
The Girlsโ draw consisted of Union High School, Graaff-Reinet, Despatch High, Stirling High, Clarendon High and Kingswood College. ๐๐๐๐ ๐ง๐ค๐ช๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐จ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ค๐ ๐ฉ๐ฌ๐ค ๐จ๐๐ฃ๐๐ก๐๐จ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ช๐๐ก๐๐จ ๐ข๐๐ฉ๐๐.
Our girls performed admirably and after a wonderful day of tennis โ and what turned out to be the closest provincial tournament in recent memory – our girls finished 5th overall.
