Union High School, Graaff-Reinet learner 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 recently participated in the Waterlea Endurance Ride.
Mounted on his horse, Mahdeeva, who had completed all her novice stages, Tristan took on the challenge of his first competitive 80km ride.
𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙨𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙, 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨, 𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨.
He claimed the coveted 1st place in the young riders category and an impressive 2nd place overall. Completing the endurance ride in a commendable time of 4 hours, 15 minutes, and 21 seconds, Tristan demonstrated his dedication and passion for the sport.
Tristan’s was also presented with the Photographers Choice Award. This award recognises his incredible progression and unwavering commitment over the past year. Tristan’s positive attitude and unwavering spirit have truly set him apart.
