Union High School, Graaff-Reinet’s junior sports teams faced off against a visiting Herbert Hurd side this past Saturday.
The 𝘂/𝟭𝟯𝗕 𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 secured a hard-fought victory with a final score of 15-10. The 𝘂/𝟭𝟯𝗔 𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 gave it their all until the very last minute but, despite their impressive efforts, they narrowly lost to the Herbert Hurd side with a score of 17-24.
Switching gears to hockey, Union’s 𝘂/𝟭𝟯𝗗 and 𝘂/𝟭𝟯𝗖 teams displayed great teamwork and sportsmanship, although they both faced tough opponents and were narrowly defeated with a score of 0-1 in each match.
The 𝘂/𝟭𝟯𝗕 and 𝘂/𝟭𝟯𝗔 hockey teams delivered outstanding performances, bringing home two victories for Union. The u/13B team dominated the field with an impressive 6-0 win, while the u/13A team showcased their skills and secured a solid 2-0 victory.
